Americans increasingly view geeks in a more positive light, according to a Modis survey. 54% of Americans, up from 45% last year, view geeks extremely intelligent. 71% of Americans identified geeks as the point-people for technology advice (56 percent in 2011). More than half of Americans (51%) define geeks as professionally successful, an impressive jump from 31 percent in 2011.
