What we know about the new Gollum video game so far
The new Lord of the Rings: Gollum video game, which some are referring to as the new Gollum video game, is an exciting new action & adventure game that’s set to arrive on May 25th.
It was crafted by Daedalic Entertainment and co-published by Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon, and it’s an official adaptation based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.
You will soon be able to enjoy playing this new single-player game on Windows-operating desktop and laptop computers and most other gaming consoles, such as the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Although the new Gollum game was initially shrouded in mystery, we have managed to obtain a few facts about what to expect.
As expected, the main character in this game is Gollum, everybody’s favorite character from the original hit movie franchise, The Lord of the RINGS (LOTR).
If you haven’t ever watched the movies, the aim of this game is similar to his exploits in the movie. You are on one big quest to retrieve the ring, which he affectionately calls ‘My Precious.’
Throughout your journey, you will be climbing the Mordor mountains and traversing visually stunning 3D-rendered/animated landscapes.
Along the way, you will be making difficult choices in a constant battle between good and evil, trying to outsmart some of Middle-Earth’s most powerful characters.
The character you play, Gollum, has a split personality as Gollum (the calculating character) and Smeagol (the simple and naïve character). You must make the most of his unique skills to penetrate the Dark Tower of Barad-dûr while avoiding the Elves and Orcs.
It’s down to you to decide whether Gollum’s or Smeagol’s personality would be better used to get you out of some tricky situations.
