How Observer Game Was Made

Developed by Bloober Team and published by Aspyr, Observer is a new Switch game that has attracted most attention recently. This psychological horror game follows a detective known as an Observer who has the power to hack people’s brains when interrogating them.

The game is set in Kraków in 2084, after a “digital plague.” Much to all fans’ delight, the Bloober Team office was kind enough to reveal how the game was made.

Wojciech Piejko, the team lead designer, and Rafał Basaj, the brand manager, said that it was the success of their previous project, Layers of Fear: Legacy, that inspired them and prompted them to go for another horror story.

The building where the game takes place was made based on a real building, and there, Observer can interrogate different tenants and move around the building. The look of the real building was somewhat modified to fit the needs of the game.
